DIY | Adding HTML Signatures to Gmail

The definitive answer to "what do I do with this now?!"

You saw a beautiful, dynamic, cool email signature from a competitor or a colleague, and you had to have one.  So, you found someone who could bring all your dreams to life (read: us, Brand Engine), and you saw a preview and fell in love, and then you got sent a bunch of jibber jabber in a .html file and you have no idea what to do now.

We made you this quick guide because it seemed like every other source of instruction was trying to steal your identity and every minute on those sites feels like your life is at risk.

So, the trusted, expert team at Brand Engine is here to give you the 1,2,3.

  • Open your HTML file. In this case, you will have to drag your HTML email signature Gmail file right into your browser
  • At this point, you will need to select your signature design. To do that, go to Edit>Select All; Edit>Copy
  • Open your Gmail settings and go to the signature section and then to Edit and then paste the Gmail email signature HTML you stored in clipboard earlier and then click on "Save Changes" located below the signature edit box. Note that you can find all these in the General tab in settings

And just like that, your emails are now brand spanking new and your readers cannot wait to read every last word, all the way to your confidentiality disclaimer, because damn, it's all beautiful.
